Nazareth College of Pharmacy, Othera, is promoted by Nazareth Ashramam, which is a society under Malankara Suriyani Knanaya Samudayam.
The Patron of the society is H.E.Kuriakose mor Severious, Chief Metropolitan & Arch Bishop of Knanaya Arch Diocese. The main objectives of the society are establishment of educational institutions, vocational training centers. Orphanages and impact affirmative actions for the upliftment of the educationally and economically challenged sections of the society.
Nazareth College of Pharmacy is a long cherished dream of Malankara Suriyani Knanaya Samudayam.It aims to provide World-class quality in pharmacy education, to create highly skilled professionals in the field of pharmacy. The college was started in October 2004 and it is thriving to be one of the premiers Pharmacy College within a short span.
Nazareth College of Pharmacy is situated at Othera which about 10 km from Thiruvalla and 8 km from Chengannur, which is easily approachable by road. The College is approved by AICTE, PCI, Govt. of Kerala and affiliated to Mahathma Gandhi University, Kottayam. From 2010 batch onwards B.Pharm students are coming under newly formed KERALA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES, Thrissur.
The main multistoried building is with all the state of the art infrastructural facilities like well-equipped Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Computer Laboratory, Library etc…. The institution emphasizes discipline oriented, high academic standards by keeping specific institutional objectives. The faculty comprises of highly competent, qualified and well experienced academicians and provides excellent coaching and motivation to the students.

National commission for minority Education Institution declared Nazareth College of Pharmacy as Minority Education Institution under the article 30 of the constitution of India.
College provides a slandered education about the drugs and its manufacturing, formulation and development, quality assessment and quality control and its application in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
College facilitates best clinical practice for Pharm D students at Believers church Medical College Hospital ,Thiruvalla ,a 500 bedded hospital with 52 Pharm D staff as clinical specialist/Clinical Pharmacist.
Our students secured University ranks in B Pharm, M Pharm and Pharm D
Our college is actively conducting cultural events and sports meet and also participates in national level and won prizes. College organizes workshop, seminar and continuing Education programme to update the knowledge of the Students and Faculties.
Drug information Centre is functioning in Department of Pharmacy Practice with the assistance of ‘Lexi comp’ software.
Our Alumni students are well placed in different places of Pharmaceutical field all over the world .College receives project finance assistance from Kerala Government.
